THIS has got to be the funniest set of fan fiction EVER. Basically, it's a series of "Lord of the Rings" retellings, but in the style of famous authors/people. This has gotta be the funniest thing I've read in quite a while. really. If you liked the movies and the books, and you are somewhat conversant with pop/classical culture, then you will likely find much humor in this information. I will go ahead and condense it into a single file at somepoint, in case there are any copyright/ligtigatious problems. It's great, and deserves to be kept around a long time.
just to scare everyone, i have to put up some pictures of my new shoes which are quite nifty, if I do say so myself.
for further scaring, I would like to share a little about this old movie theatre chair that dorothy gave to me. Now neither you nor I probably want to know where this chair came from, but no matter, It's my chair now. It has a fatal flaw though, being a movie theatre chair, it was designed to be bolted into the floor. I don't have that option at the moment, and so the chair is not what you would call "stable". As such, I needed to add some sort've harness, bracket to it to get it to work. Thus, some 2x6s that I had lying around enabled me fix the chair so that it would sit upright. Now, how to affix some random pieces of wood, well as you can see a little dremmel tool and drill action led to sucess .
I have also had the fortune of meeting The Toxie Avenger because recently, Troma came toPittsburgh, sponsored by The Oaks Theater and Incredibly Strange Video both of which are fine independent establishments, which need the support of their community to stay alive and fight the evil corporate giant companies which steal your soul. But, to say the least it was a lot of fun, I got to meet Lloyd Kaufman (not that you can tell, since the guy that took this picture shouldn't be allowed near a camera, anyway), a short, grumpy, perverted, little jewish man, who bears a striking resemblence to Mel Brooks, and yet is an absolute genius when it comes to making, um, cinema. Anyway, the Tromafest was a great event, and even though both Toxie and Noxie where there, they managed not to fight so that the fest could go on uninterrupted.
Hmm, I wonder what this could be!?!
